The National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME) is responsible for awarding approximately $3 million in scholarships annually to underrepresented minority (URM) students. NACME expects to support approximately 1,000 underrepresented minority engineering and computer science students annually.
Earlier in June, Redtail CEO Brian McLaughlin challenged our team here with a goal of raising $7k for NACME and our staff donated that amount in less than 24 hours; as an organization, Redtail has now matched that employee-contributed amount 5 to 1. NACME’s scholarship program is one we enthusiastically support, as their passion for STEM provides amazing opportunities for minority students to further their education in engineering or computer science.
