With Orion Advisor Solutions’ acquisition of Redtail Technology in June of 2022, Redtail’s founder and former CEO Brian McLaughlin became Orion’s President of CRM as well as a member of Orion’s board. Now, with the September 6 announcement that Orion is reorganizing to concentrate focus on three strategic business lines (Advisor Tech, OCIO and TAMP), Brian is moving into the role of president, Orion Advisor Tech.
McLaughlin’s promotion, along with Orion’s hiring of Mike Wilson, formerly of LPL, to the position of Executive Vice President, Orion Tech Suite, herald a clear-eyed focus on tech expansion and integrations moving forward. Redtail subscribers, as well as those using Orion solutions, should expect to benefit from these industry veterans’ commitment to roadmapping and execution of future technology, existing solution upgrades, and integrations to “enhance and connect every aspect of the advisor-client journey”.
